GdS: Probable XIs for Milan vs. Napoli – one doubt remains for Pioli

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will face Napoli in the 18th round of Serie A tomorrow evening, hoping to bounce back from what was a rather poor performance against Udinese. There should be some changes to the starting XI, as you would expect.

The likes of Ismael Bennacer and Tiemoue Bakayoko started in the midfield tandem last time out and that didn’t go too well. Therefore, we should see the better pairing for the game tomorrow, that is Franck Kessie and Sandro Tonali.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo below), Pioli has just one doubt with regards to the XI and that is the No.10 role. Brahim Diaz has been rather poor lately and the manager could thus decide to play Rade Krunic from start instead.

As a result of the injuries on the left, Alexis Saelemaekers is expected to start on that side of the trio, leaving the right-wing spot open for Junior Messias.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Florenzi, Tomori, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Messias, Diaz (Krunic), Saelemaekers; Ibrahimovic.

Probable Napoli XI (4-2-3-1): Ospina; Malcuit, Rrahmani, Jesus, Di Lorenzo; Anguissa, Demme; Politano, Zielinski, Lozano; Mertens.
