GdS: Probable Milan XI to face Juventus – four changes expected from Liverpool loss

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is expected to make further changes to his starting XI ahead of Sunday’s game against Juventus, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) writes that Pioli is likely to be without Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the game in Turin as he continues to recover from the Achilles tendon problem he has sustained.

The paper writes that in the midfield there will most likely be the return of Sandro Tonali to the double pivot as he has recovered from the intestinal problems that forced him to miss the training session before the game against Liverpool, and he will take Ismael Bennacer’s place.

In defecse, the return of Alessio Romagnoli is predicted, with Simon Kjaer ready to return to the bench after giving everything against Liverpool on Wednesday, while Alexis Saelemaekers is expected to rest too and Alessandro Florenzi is the favourite to replace him.

Oliver Giroud is the favourite to start as the striker given how much Ante Rebic has played recently, but the Croatia international feels fine and remains among the candidates for the starting position.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Tomori, Romagnoli (Kjaer), Theo Hernandez; Kessie, Tonali; Florenzi (Saelemaekers), Brahim Diaz, Leao; Giroud (Rebic).
