GdS: Probable Milan XI to face Verona – Pioli eyes five changes as Rebic could start

By Isak Möller -

Following the loss against Lille, Milan are gearing up to take on Hellas Verona at San Siro on Sunday evening. The unbeaten run is longer a thing and the Rossoneri will have to bounce back quickly.

The loss on Thursday was certainly hard to digest, although many fans knew that it was coming. Perhaps it will act as a wake-up call for the players, but it will inevitable also put some pressure on them to recover as soon as possible.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo below), Stefano Pioli is expected to make five changes to the starting eleven. Davide Calabria and Alexis Saelemaekers have recovered from their minor injury struggles, expected to play from start.

Ismael Bennacer will slot back into the midfield, alongside Franck Kessie, while Hakan Calhanoglu and Ante Rebic will complete the attacking trio. The Croatian is ahead of Rafael Leao in the race for the left-wing spot, at least for now.
