GdS: Probable starting XIs for Milan vs. Fiorentina – change in attack as Brahim Diaz comes in

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is expected to revert back to his more well-established starting XI for Sunday’s Serie A clash with Fiorentina.

The Rossoneri are currently without a trio of important players in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Rafael Leao and Alexis Saelemaekers, which forced Stefano Pioli to make some rotations for Thursday’s draw against Lille.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday, Milan will still not have the aforementioned trio available which means that the attack will likely stay the same, but Brahim Diaz will be on the left wing instead if Jens Petter Hauge, joined by Hakan Calhanoglu and Samu Castillejo in the trident behind Ante Rebic.

The first choice double pivot of Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie will return, while Davide Calabria will come back in at right-back and Alessio Romagnoli is expected to recover to partner Simon Kjaer. Theo Hernandez will be at left-back, with Gianluigi Donnarumma in goal.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): G. Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Bennacer, Kessie; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Brahim Diaz; Rebic.
