AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli will field a brand new attack for this evening’s game against Cagliari at the Unipol Domus, according to a report.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) has Milan reverting to a 4-3-3 after the 3-4-3 used against Hellas Verona, with Marco Sportiello in goal and a back four of Alessandro Florenzi, Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez.
The midfield three should see Yacine Adli replace the injured Rade Krunic as the deeper-lying player, with the Frenchman flanked by Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders.
In attack, Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao should rest, thus meaning a trio of Christian Pulisic, Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze from left to right.
The unavailable players are Krunic, Ismael Bennacer, Pierre Kalulu and Mattia Caldara.

Bartesaghi played five minutes and now you want him to play from start against a team that finished ahead of us last year? And you want Théo who traumatized them with his goal at San Siro last season to be benched? And you miss Giancarlo? Man I feel like you’re confused in your life right now.
I would like to see Bartesaghi today, but then there would be too many subs in the starting line-up. Lazio wasn’t particularly strong in the first games of the season. why shouldn’t we try out Bartesaghi together with Tomori at the side.

Cagliari with a 4-4-2 are going to low block all game. We need to make sure we finish every chance we get. I see this being a 10 shots, 2 shots on goal game for us. We need to make sure those 2 shots go in goal.
For the first time doubt will be cleared, Mr. Pioli hope this alternation will continue, let everyone fight for a spot.
Not happy with Pulisic on left but will be interesting to see what kind of chemistry him and Theo will develop. Would rather see our best players start and step on their throats and subbed early than have to bring them in later to try and get a draw in typical Pioli desperation move.
