GdS: Probable XIs for Atalanta vs. Milan – Pioli makes two key changes

By Isak Möller -

Later this evening, AC Milan will take on Atalanta at Gewiss Stadium in the seventh round of Serie A. After the loss to Atletico Madrid, the Rossoneri are eager to end the pre-international break period on a good note.

Simon Kjaer is back after missing the games against Venezia, Spezia and Atletico Madrid due to an injury. He will start alongside the brilliant Fikayo Tomori in the heart of the defence, demoting Alessio Romagnoli to the bench again.

Further up the pitch, Stefano Pioli has decided that Ismael Bennacer and Sandro Tonali will start in the midfield tandem. Franck Kessie was sent off against Atletico and played less, but is clearly dropped due to his poor performances.

Ante Rebic will lead the line up front, hoping to make something out of the service from Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao. The latter two will be in charge of the creativity for the Rossoneri, which will be needed to break through Atalanta.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Hernandez; Tonali, Bennacer; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Leao; Rebic.

Probable Atalanta XI (3-4-1-2): Musso; Toloi, Palomino, Djimsiti; Zappacosta, De Roon, Freuler, Maehle; Pessina; Malinovskyi, Zapata.
