GdS: Probable XIs for Fiorentina vs. Milan – late changes for Milan; makeshift Viola defence

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is expected to make a few changes to the starting line-up from the derby draw against Inter for tonight’s game against Fiorentina.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) in their Saturday edition have the probable starting XIs for the game at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. For the Rossoneri, it should be Ciprian Tatarusanu in goal with Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori, Alessio Romagnoli and Theo Hernandez listed as the starters. It has since been learned that Tomori has a hip problem and has been left out of the squad though, so Simon Kjaer will now get the nod.

In the midfield it should be the double pivot of Sandro Tonali and Franck Kessie again, with Alexis Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao the attacking trident behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is tipped to be the centre-forward over Olivier Giroud.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Kalulu, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz, Rafael Leao; Ibrahimovic.

Vincenzo Italiano’s Fiorentina should feature Terracciano in goal, with a makeshift defence composed of Odriozola, Venuti, Igor and Biraghi. In midfield should be Bonaventura, Torreira and Castrovilli. In attack Callejon, Vlahovic and Saponara are expected to get the nod.

Probable Fiorentina XI (4-3-3): Terracciano, Odriozola, Venuti, Igor, Biraghi; Bonaventura, Torreira, Castrovilli; Callejon, Vlahovic, Saponara.
