Following the 3-1 loss against Juventus, Milan will take on Torino at San Siro this evening, hoping to get their revenge and return to winning ways. They are still top of the standings, but a win is now needed.
Stefano Pioli will be without several injured players, namely Matteo Gabbia, Ismael Bennacer, Alexis Saelemaekers, Hakan Calhanoglu and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Furthermore, Rade Krunic and Ante Rebic are COVID positive.
Fortunately, Sandro Tonali is back from suspension and will slot in alongside Franck Kessie in the midfield tandem. Davide Calabria will return to his normal position, as Gazzetta Dello Sport highlights (see photo below), after an impressive midfield display.
As Calhanoglu is injured, Brahim Diaz will start on the No.10 role for this game. It’s time for the Real Madrid loanee to show his qualities, which we have only seen glimpses from so far. Rafael Leao, one yellow away from suspension, will start up front.
