AC Milan have another huge game to negotiate and Stefano Pioli is likely to have already found the starting eleven that he thinks can secure victory in Serie A over Napoli.
According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), Milan are going to be lining up at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona with Mike Maignan and a back four of Davide Calabria, Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez.
Kalulu is getting the nod in the centre-back role because Malick Thiaw was sent off in the previous Serie A game against Juventus, and is therefore suspended.
In the midfield, Pioli is expected to stick with a three of Yunus Musah on the right, Rade Krunic in the middle and Tijjani Reijnders on the left, but there are rumours that Musah and Reijnders may swap sides.
The expected attacking trio of Christian Pulisic, Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao will start.
Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, T. Hernandez; Reijnders, Krunic, Musah; Pulisic, Giroud, Leao.
Probable Napoli XI (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Natan, Mario Rui; Cajuste, Lobotka, Zielinski; Politano, Raspadori, Kvaratskhelia.
This team definitely needs Chukwueze to step up. When Bennacer start to play, Krunic should be sold, either in January or next summer. New midfielder should be bought in next mercato, but not just young, but someone who can make immediate impact like Ruben Loftus.
And at least one new striker should be bought but very strong one.
If Miranda arrives Balo Toure must be sold. De Keteleare, Saelemakers and Origi must be sold. Probably Maldini and Gabbia should be sold, maybe one strong defender like Botman should arrive.
This would be huge impact on balance, but with some sales, departures of Caldara, it could be done.

He should just play Tijjani as a number 10 in a 4-2-3-1 formation, this gives 4 attackers and 6 defenders which will be difficult to beat.

I’d be curious to see how that formation would play out. But we don’t have Bennacer in the Pivot. Krunic is sub par and with Musah would struggle to contain attacks. RLC comes back and he isn’t a DM either. So who plays? Adli/Krunic/Musah ?
Krunic has been disastrous against PSG and Juve, but is still expected to start…
Watch his positioning on the 1st PSG goal, he’s the main culprit imo.

Tomori and krunic are bunch of regret even Pioli is also a bunch of regrets to Acmilan if losses this match please let us sack him immediately and get Hans flick or Julian negelsman to replace him because our champions league must be qualified

Maybe defense. Krunic did help Calabria out last year vs Kvara. And was defensively brilliant vs Napoli last year 🤷♂️. For this selection I could see why vs this team in particular

Unbelievable. Why wouldn’t you start Krunic? He’s only been the worst player on the pitch the last 2 games. I’ve defended this coach for a long time but I’m sorry he has to go. He is losing the respect of the players by playing favorites with his boy Krunic at the expense of the team. Hadn’t lost a game while he was out , Adli was playing well, now lost both games since he came back and Pioli gives him the start. Pathetic and the rest of the team knows it.
Can Des champs agree to leave the french national team to coach us. Can he?
