GdS: Probable XIs for Inter vs. Milan – only one change across both sides

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is expected to make one change to his starting line-up for tonight’s derby against Inter, and it will be a forced one.

According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the change in question will be in the centre of defence with Simon Kjaer stepping up to replace the suspended Fikayo Tomori, with Pierre Kalulu injured.

Mike Maignan will be in goal with captain Davide Calabria and Theo Hernandez as the right-back and left-back, and Malick Thiaw the other centre-back completing the four-man defence.

Rade Krunic will be at the base of the three-man midfield with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders to his right and left as the box-to-box midfielders.

Christian Pulisic will get the nod on the right wing, with Rafael Leao on the other side and Olivier Giroud expected to shake off an ankle issue and start.

Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Kjaer, Theo Hernandez; Loftus-Cheek, Krunic, Reijnders; Pulisic, Giroud, Leao.

Probable Inter XI (3-5-2): Sommer; Darmian, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Thuram, Lautaro.
