GdS: Probable XIs for Inter vs. Milan – Leao and Krunic tipped to start

Stefano Pioli and Simone Inzaghi will ponder their choices today on the eve of the second leg of the Champions League semi-final derby.

Inter take a two-goal lead into the game after a dominant performance last Wednesday, and the pressure is on Milan to score at least twice if they are to book their place in the final in Istanbul.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below), Mike Maignan should be in goal with Davide Calabria, Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez the back four, with Simon Kjaer therefore dropping out.

Rade Krunic and Sandro Tonali are expected to be the midfield double pivot, with Brahim Diaz the central attacking midfielder given Ismael Bennacer’s injury.

Rafael Leao is tipped to come back in on the left wing with Alexis Saelemaekers moving back to the right, and Olivier Giroud the centre-forward looking for more derby heroics.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Krunic; Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz, Leao; Giroud.

Probable Inter XI (3-5-2): Onana; Darmian, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Dzeko, Martinez.
