GdS: Probable XIs for Milan vs. Atalanta – Krunic in with Bennacer on the bench

AC Milan have their final home game of the season this evening against Atalanta and they know a maximum of four points from the last two games will be enough for the Scudetto.

According to what is being reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Stefano Pioli should field an unchanged back four of Davide Calabria, Fikayo Tomori, Pierre Kalulu and Theo Hernandez in front of Mike Maignan in goal.

Sandro Tonali and Franck Kessie are expected in the double pivot which means Ismael Bennacer should start on the bench, with Rade Krunic expected to be the attacking midfielder.

Alexis Saelemaekers should be the right winger and Rafael Leao will be on the other flank, with Olivier Giroud again getting the nod to start as the centre-forward.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Hernandez; Bennacer, Tonali; Saelemaekers, Kessie, Leao; Giroud.

Probable Atalanta XI (4-2-3-1): Musso; Hateboer, Djimsiti, Palomino, Mahele; De Roon, Freuler; Boga, Koopaminers, Zappacosta; Muriel.

    1. I know I sound like a broken record but have said this all along, he has played the 10 before when he was at Eintacht , He is tall, strong and has good distribution skills, good with either foot and can score with his head……great defense in stopping opposition counter attack………..however I think with Giroud’s and Ibra’s age and his management style he holds him in reserve. From a management style you need to play everyone, you might have to sacrifice a little talent on the pitch but over the season everyone has to be ready to play but most of all feel like they can contribute when called upon. Difficult for the fans to swallow at times but Pioli has got us this far with the youngest team in Serie A with two old geezers at the 9 (lol). 36 matches in the books and it boils down to this, what I would give to be at San Siro today !!!! Forza Milan

  1. Rebic as a 10 and Diaz as a RWF will add more to the attack and get the job done by first half ,that’s my opine let see what our master tactician(Pioli ) have for us ,Forza Milan .we are winning .

    1. Diaz is not so technical and pacey to do the RW role at the moment. May be Saele is choseen to help Calabria to neutralize attack on right side

  2. Pioli selection is always predictable. He always start not full strength capacity such as krunic and not all three bennacer kessie and tonali at the same time including Rebic. Preferably only put full force attack Rebic and bennacer the last few minutes or when they are behind chasing the game. I would rather put full force attack try to get quick early goals, then put strong defensive minded players the last few minutes of the game. Honestly Milan the one that is in need to win this game more than Atalanta.

  3. The coach your complaining g about is the one who got us where we are now… let the man do his job… real life is not Fifa or playstation…. have some faith and hopefully we all celebrate today.
