GdS: Probable XIs for Milan vs. Spezia – Krunic changes role; Brahim back in

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is expected to make changes to the starting line-up for the game against Spezia compared to the team that beat Red Bull Salzburg in midweek.

According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, there should be an alteration in defence as Matteo Gabbia is expected to come in for Simon Kjaer to partner Fikayo Tomori at centre-back, with Pierre Kalulu and Theo Hernandez the full-backs.

Sandro Tonali is expected to get a rest meaning Rade Krunic should partner Ismael Bennacer in the double pivot. Junior Messias is tipped to be the right winger after Rebic started against Salzburg, with Brahim Diaz resuming the role of playmaker, Rafael Leao on the left wing and Divock Origi replacing Olivier Giroud up front.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Kalulu, Gabbia, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Bennacer, Krunic; Messias, Brahim Diaz, Leao; Origi.

Probable Spezia XI (3-5-2): Dragowski; Ampadu, Kiwior, Hristov; Holm, Bourabia, Ekdal, Agudelo, Reca; Verde, Nzola.
