GdS: From a few days to four months – when Pulisic, Kjaer, Pellegrino and Kalulu should return

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have had more bad injury news today, and the estimated return times of the players affected has been reported.

According to what is being reported by Luca Bianchin of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the most positive news is that Christian Pulisic will return against either Udinese or PSG, like Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Simon Kjaer and Samuel Chukwueze should too.

The USA international went off at half-time during last night’s 2-2 draw against Napoli due to flexor discomfort and there were fears he could face a spell out, but it turns out it was just precautionary.

Marco Pellegrino has suffered a fracture in his left foot, an unfortunate way to mark his debut after coming on in the first half for Pierre Kalulu, and he will be out at least 40 days while the bone heals.

Bianchin adds that Pierre Kalulu is likely to have an operation after he suffered a serious lesion in his thigh, and if he does go under the knife he will be out for about four months.

    1. What a bizarre comment. Was anyone talking about Chukuweze? “when he finds his form”… When do you think that will be? Any ETA on that form? Or where it might be hiding? And should we sit our best offensive player so far so Chuku can look for his form? I bet it’s hiding in the same place as his right foot.

    2. Like i said before…
Serie A is not ideal place for player like him
He is another suso but closer to castillejo
Surely he will have at least 2-3 good matches, but i dont think he can’t replace pulisic as the latter provides composure and balance to the team.

Di marco will eat him alive in our next derby

    3. You just talk away from point from the article at hand.
Everyone, freaking every player is a monster IN FORM. Don’t make this out like it’s special for some.

  1. Can’t even blame the doctors or medical staff for these ones.
Bone fracture and thigh lesions are all from heavy contact on the pitch, nothing that doctors or medical staff could’ve done to prevent or avoid them. Kalulu and Pellegrino are both unlucky boys.

    1. Well in some sense you are correct even if you are being sarcastic. If it comes down to 1 CB left, who else is going to play CB? Calabria and Florenzi are too short…Theo possibly, Musah, Reinjders? Nope. Adli ? Nope, Leao? Def no Giroud ? Maybe Lol 😂

      1. Theo is a clear candidate. The defensive situation stabilized immediately after Pellegrino came off, Theo went to the middle and Florenzi went to LB. But, not having a proper backup LB is going to play a role in this CB crisis as well, since Florenzi is bound to get burned against teams like PSG.🤦

        1. Yes that was actually quite impressive by Theo (it’s why I said possibly above). Napoli ain’t a joke and he did well at CB. Pleasant surprise there tbh

  2. Is rest Puli against a struggling Udinese side and get him fully rested for PSG. While we’re at it rest Tomori (I have no clue how lol) and Reinjders. And play Slowbega. Split the minutes between Krunic and Adli and keep Theo fresh (maybe play Bartesaghi….but this is a pipe dream

      1. It’s only to give others a rest and he might be good vs lower quality teams and for his aggressiveness 🤷‍♂️. At some points Deers and Puli are going to need a rest. So too Tomori

    1. Should we play the primavera then? Struggling Udinese will not be struggling if we sit our best remaining players in the midst of an injury crisis.

      1. Yea that’s what I fear too..teams play their best version against us for some reason and let Inter and Juve walk all over them. I dunno about the Primavera. I don’t have as high hopes as other here do. I’ve seen the games and the quality is not very high. That being said, I do believe actual first team minutes is best for these guys. We gotta be bold like Xavi

        1. Lol, it was a rhetorical question. I don’t actually think we should play the primavera, or rest anyone against Udinese, except perhaps Musah if RLC is available. That is, if we’re fighting for the scudetto. If we’re not, then all bets are off. Are we fighting for the scudetto?

          1. But all jokes aside, we should ‘blooding’ Primavera, even the last 20 mins of games, especially Chaka and SImic. All the top teams do it, why should we be any different…oh yes, Pioli….
