GdS: Pulisic enjoying his most prolific season since 2020 – the numbers

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan winger Christian Pulisic is enjoying a great season at his new club that has seen him grab more goals and assists than previous years.

As has been highlighted by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the American winger has been a very successful signing for Milan so far as he has got six goals and four assists in the first half of the campaign.

He scored the only goal of the game against Sassuolo on Saturday evening which has allowed the Rossoneri and Stefano Pioli to go into the new year with three more points and something to build upon.

Pulisic’s 10 goals and assists for the season so far is his best since the 2019/20 season when he was playing for Chelsea, having recently signed from Borussia Dortmund.

His goals and assists tally for that season was 13, but that was across the whole season. Therefore, Pulisic is on track for the best attacking season of his career which makes Milan’s decision to sign him look like a very wise one.

He is now trusted as being one of the most important players in the squad and he has actually ended up performing much better than Rafael Leao on the other wing.

  1. He has become more of a second striker/poacher than a winger. He can’t take his man or really do a lot on the wings from what was seen this season, but he can escape the last line and score…

  2. Now that the right side is delivering results, it would be nice if the left side did something useful too every now and then.
