GdS: Rabiot says goodbye to Juventus – Real Madrid keen but Milan ‘believe’

Adrien Rabiot has decided that he will not accept the renewal offer on the table from Juventus and thus his story with the club is over. Now, AC Milan are among the potential

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Rabiot remained indifferent to the renewal proposal he received from Juve, which was a two-year contract at €7.5m net per season plus bonuses and an automatic renewal option for the third season.

The first signs of a rift were clear due to the silence in the pre-European Championship. Rabiot had promised clarity on his future before the competition, but did not keep his word and only after finishing the European Championship did he decide to decline.

Where will he go? The 29-year-old has never hidden the fact that he sees himself in the Premier League sooner or later, and the suggestion of Real Madrid remains alive because Carlo Ancelotti was the one who gave Rabiot his debut at PSG in 2012.

However, Milan also play a role in this story, because they spoke with his mother-agent Veronique a long time ago, they inquired about the salary and they ‘believe’ they can land him.

Of course, there is an underlying salary issue. Excluding Rafael Leao’s deal, Milan currently pay their stars a salary close to €4m net per year but this seems set to be raised and even still exception could be made for Rabiot.
