GdS: Rabiot responds to Milan’s inquiry as talks are underway – the situation

Rabiot, Milan, Gazzetta

AC Milan enquired about Adrien Rabiot’s situation a few days back and the player’s mother/agent has now replied, with contacts underway.

Due to the injury sustained by Ardon Jashari, Milan have been evaluating reinforcement for the midfield before the window closes, especially since Yunus Musah is one step away from Atalanta. Rabiot is the request of Allegri and, as such, an inquiry was made a few days ago.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), Milan have finally received a response from Rabiot’s agent and mother, Veronique Rabiot. Contacts have been initiated and a move is now possible.

Contacts will take place today

As the pink newspaper continues, there are no formal negotiations just yet but compared to just a few days ago, there is now an openness to the move. Rabiot’s relationship with Marseille hasn’t been mended yet and since just a few days remain of the mercato, things could happen.

Today, there will be further contacts between Milan and the player to understand if the operation truly is feasible. Marseille’s request of €15m is deemed too high, so that would be the first thing to overcome, while an agreement must also be reached on the salary.

In the meantime, Musah is waiting for Allegri’s approval to join Atalanta on an initial loan deal, ready to join the Bergamo side as soon as possible.

  1. Why is our management so hellbent to get poisonous (ex)-Juventus players on board?

With Rabbiot we get an excellent player, but we also get his mom and a lot of troubles. Doubt s/he is worth it.

We used to have class. Used to. Lex Maldini.

    1. Maybe because there is 1.5 days to the end of the mercato and there is literally 1 choice if you want a good midfielder? In July they could have bought top players for 20-30M easy. Same with Nkunku, better options were there 2 months ago, now there aren’t.

      1. True, back in June/July our management were wise enough to hagle for 1 million, so they can panik buy now.

About Rabiot. On paper a great player, but s terrible person. And his mom….

          1. Why? You can’t even explain why you think something and I am the id*ot? Half of you here babble all the time and can’t reply to 3 simple questions about what you wrote and then you can only call someone an id*ot? Same question as to Goku down there, what is the problem with Rabiot? Why is the a terrible person? From where do you have this information?

          2. When I call someone a mo*on or an id*ot, and I do ofetn, I check first. I ask a few questions and see if you can explain. You can’t, right?

          3. Kiddo, its been explained to you 5 million times by everyone on this site. Go ride his meat on the France team Facebook, cuz nobody here wants to see it. Your desperation to being his fangirl is pitiful

    2. Have you seen RLC, Musah and Fofana play? That’s why we’re after Rabiot. I bet he gets more goals in one season than the three of them combined.

      1. Yes I have, RLC had an excellent game, as did Musah. Fofana had an average game. Ricci has been a sub pre-season and hasn’t convinced Allegri to start him? soooo…..Rabiot to Milan is a good move, but maybe not for the reasons you are thinking? RLC and Fofana are both clearly in Allegri’s starting 11. If you consider all those things and Jashari’s injury and the likely sale of Musah = Rabiot?

  2. getting rid of Musah and Jimenez on final day seems rushed. I would keep one that Allegri is for sure gonna make use of the most, the other can leave…

Bournemouth has 120M still left after their sales… 25M can be acquired today and the player will not go to direct rival. also, it seems that bridges have been burnt… another thing is that Real could have bought him next summer if he performed well… Carvajal needs replacement

Musah has been inconsistent and RM role seems a bit forced… but Allegri, Conte and Atalanta scouts do see value in him…

  3. Is he Italian? Didnt they tell we bring Italian this year
Im glad Okoli come to us and Leoni and Bellanova and Licca ….

    1. Savona went to Nottingham for 13M… people here say either “why help Juve?!” or overrated, until he won’t be and then the narrative will go to why didn’t they not sign him when he was 13M…

most irrational group of people here in terms of buying Italians… same with Kayode who I’m sure will have breakout season, Miretti at Juve, Fazzini at Fiorentina now…

      1. Juve was never going to sell Savona to us for that price because we are a direct rival. And we did sign Ricci, unless you forgot about him. This is the harsh reality. This generation of Italians just aren’t good.

        1. Juve financial state is worse than most people think… all the fluff won’t hide it… last year mercato was a failure for them…

Douglas Luiz and Koopmeiners couldn’t do anything… they bout Emerson Royal of CBs, Kelly and now are stuck with him… same with Gonzalez and the RB kid who seemed to have potential but they swapped him now for Joao Mario, lmao

only saving grace were Conceicao, Kalulu and diGregorio… hence selling Savona, Fagioli, Rovella for pennies

          1. Yes of course. They will go bankrupt. You can’t do basic math but you know the financial state of Juventus. Omg.

    2. Pippo Serie C chat is happening elsewhere, here we speak about AC Milan. We value pkayers based on performance not based on which tribe do they belong. I am afraid even if we get Italians then the argument is going to be South, North East West.

  4. On paper, of course Rabiot is a great player. But attitude wise, that’s a different story and why I’m against signing him. Our midfield has plenty of players.

    1. we have minimal amount for 3 men midfield

also, Modric is 39, Jashari is out for 2-3 months

we have Ricci, RLC, Fofana, Musah (who is rumored for exit and if he stays it’s only to replace Jimenez since we also have practically no wingbacks)

Alexis, Estupinan are the only actual wingbacks, Athekame is too unknown and inexperienced and Barte is more defensive and is gonna play more in the 3 men defense…

so in this state where attack needs still additions, midfield is fragile and so are wingbacks, how getting Rabiot is extra?

    2. Maybe Allegri wants him for his attitude? People keep writing about his attitude but what is it exactly? Is he unprofessional and doesn’t train? Doesn’t he give 100% in games? What do you mean by attitude? Can you explain?

      1. Its been explained by 20 people already, you sad imbecile. You just get sensitive about him because youre his #1 fan. People here care about facts, not your personal delusions. Grow up

    3. Our midfield has a lot of noise, but few difference makers. Compared to Musah, RLC and Fofana, Rabiot is a difference maker.

I get he’s not a popular option, but he’s one of those players you hate to play against but want to have on your team, like Theo was.

  5. ….”On paper, of course Rabiot is a great player.”

yup, you are 100% correct that is why he is being chased. It is apparent that Allegri and Managment don’t believe or care about the rest of the noise around him.

  6. Take Rabiot AND is crazy mom over Musah any day of the week and twice on Sundays!

Are ppl really thinking we should keep Musah when we can sell for a generous 25M offer????

Get your heads examined pls LOL.

As much of a pain Rabiot can be – he’s leaps and bounds ahead of Musah. Not even a fkn question. Max will keep Rabiot in line and he has had his best years under Allegri.

Rabiot for 15M and Musah sold for 25M and we make 10M???? WTF are we waiting for!🤣🤣🤣

Waiting till the last day of the window leaves you with little choice so beggars can’t be choosers.

What a fkn mess we are

    1. Thats the main problem, if the plan was so bad, we had to settle for a washed crybaby like rabiot, the plan should’ve been thrown out on day 1. This is desperation signing at its worst

  7. God forbid we actually get a real functioning #9 thru the door… why is this even a discussion? If we need another a CM so bad for some reason, wait ril January after we’ve assessed the current group, and go for a real option. NOT allegris pitiful comfort blanket
