GdS: Rangnick has been learning Italian since February – he wants to settle immediately

By Oliver Fisher -

Despite the recent denials that have arrived, the name of Ralf Rangnick continues to be linked with AC Milan and a potential job this summer.

The latest from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) appears to confirm that there is something in the pipeline, as the current Head of Development for Red Bull Football group started studying Italian in mid-February.

The paper explains that Rangnick has hired a personal teacher and started an intensive course to learn the language as soon as possible. His goal is to arrive in June with a good command of Italian and to communicate from the first day without translators, perhaps even at the presentation press conference.

CEO Ivan Gazidis wants him strongly, but for now he denies any contact with him so as not to interfere with Stefano Pioli’s work from here to the end of the season.

Yesterday, Rangnick’s agent also said that for now there is nothing with Milan, but in reality an agreement between the parties would have been found on 23 December for a three-year project with an option for the fourth year.
