GdS: Milan player ratings from Inter draw – forwards fail to click but defence impresses

By Oliver Fisher -

There were no real stand-out players for AC Milan during their disappointing 0-0 draw against Inter in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final.

In La Gazzetta dello Sport’s player ratings, they give head coach Stefano Pioli a 6.5 for a good game tactically in which he just about outcoached his opposite number Simone Inzaghi. The man of the match for the Rossoneri was Rafael Leao who got a 6.5 and was the most dynamic in the attack, while Olivier Giroud was the flop as he got a 5.

Mike Maignan, Alessio Romagnoli, Franck Kessie, Ismael Bennacer, Alexis Saelemaekers, Rade Krunic, Pierre Kalulu and Junior Messias were among the players to earn a score of 6.

Alessandro Florenzi, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez stood out enough to be up there with Leao in getting a 6.5 rating for the game, while substitute Brahim Diaz was a disappointment as he got a score of 5.5.

  1. I’m happy Rebic was not even rated..

He is such a trash to be trashed.
Very wasteful and was just occupying space without doing nothing..

Let him warm the bench please.
