GdS: Rebic is back and could start against Fiorentina – the ace up Pioli’s sleeve

Ante Rebic completed his return from an injury in the derby against Inter as he came on in the second half. The Croatian impressed and it’s clear that he will be important for AC Milan and Stefano Pioli.

Unlike his first two seasons with the Rossoneri, Rebic has started the season very well not just performance-wise, but also in terms of actual contribution. In 11 appearances, he has racked up two goals and two assists.

He has stepped up in important games too, assisting both goals against Lazio and getting the winner against Juventus. As highlighted by Gazzetta Dello Sport this morning (via MilanNews), Rebic is the ace up Pioli’s sleeve.

The winger doesn’t mess around and always gets to the point. Even though he might be a bit angry at times, he usually uses that in his favour on the pitch. It makes all the difference for Milan to have him available.

Seeing as he hasn’t been called up by Croatia (after a row with the manager), he will be ready to start against Fiorentina next weekend. His former club, which could spice things up even more.
