AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has been left to choose between two candidates for the centre-forward role against Atletico Madrid, a report claims.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) recalls how Rebic played an excellent game at Anfield, also scoring the goal to make it 1-1, but above all showing the strength, desire and determination to tackle a very tough challenge head on.
The Croatian is set to get the nod to start up front against Atletico too as the paper claims that Giroud – still not at his best condition – is ready to take over during the game. Ante loves the big games: two assists in the victory over Lazio, a goal away against Juventus and another against Liverpool.
Pioli knows he can count on Rebic, a player always ice cold in the key moments, and when the moment is right he will send Giroud on to try and secure a memorable result in Milan’s first home Champions League game for seven years.
