GdS: Rebic reflecting on his Milan future – he could leave because of two factors

By Oliver Fisher -

The future of AC Milan winger Ante Rebic beyond the summer is under threat due to a couple of key factors, according to a report.

Having struggled up until Christmas, Rebic has exploded in 2020. He has become the club’s top scorer after a blistering start to the new calendar year which has led to suggestions that Milan could look to make his two-year loan deal permanent.

However, the club are currently crippled by uncertainties off the pitch, with CEO Ivan Gazidis keen on his own vision, something which saw Zvonimir Boban speak out and be subsequently sacked as CFO.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Croatian is reflecting on his future with the Rossoneri. Rebic arrived at Milan on a two-year loan, so there would be plenty of time to settle the contractual issues.

But the paper questions whether he will even want to stay past the summer. He has a great relationship with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but the Swede is unlikely to stay. And Boban, one of his main sponsors, has already left the club.
