GdS: Renewals and budget – Cardinale due back in Italy to tackle key issues

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s new owner Gerry Cardinale is due back in Italy this month to sign the renewal of the contracts of two directors, according to a report.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it) write this morning, Cardinale is currently in the United States but will return to Milano in the coming weeks to sign the renewal of Ricky Massara and Paolo Maldini whose current deals are set to expire on June 30.

This will therefore be the first move of the new owner who has up until this point not made it official that the two directors will be remaining at the club, although there has been plenty of other things to negotiate during the takeover process itself.

In addition to the renewal of Maldini and Massara, Cardinale will also quantify the budget made available for the summer transfer campaign, which should officially open with the arrival of Divock Origi who is expected in Italy next week.
