GdS: Saelemaekers not under imminent threat despite Florenzi’s arrival due to Pioli’s trust

By Oliver Fisher -

There is no risk of Alexis Saelemaekers losing his spot in the starting line-up despite the imminent arrival of Alessandro Florenzi, a report claims.

According to MilanNews, Florenzi will indeed be a Milan player soon as the Rossoneri will pay the Giallorossi €1m for a paid loan and an option to buy of €4.5m has been agreed, therefore a total of €5.5m, with the player in Milano to undertake his medical.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports, Milan have strengthened the right side with the purchase of Florenzi, but Saelemaekers remains a key player for Stefano Pioli who is a believer in the tactical growth that the Belgian has shown since joining in January 2020.

The paper writes that Saelemaekers is destined for a starting spot at the Marassi against Sampdoria on Monday, but with the passing of the weeks Florenzi will become more comfortable with his new surroundings and will be able to find his own role.
