GdS: Saelemaekers says yes to Bologna move – the terms of the deal

By Oliver Fisher -

Alexis Saelemaekers’ time at AC Milan seems to be over after three and a half years with a move to Bologna now imminent, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Saelemaekers given his approval to the idea of joining Bologna and working under Thiago Motta, and last night an agreement was found between the clubs.

It was in the evening that the deal was struck. Bologna will pay a €500k loan fee for the Belgian winger and the option to buy will be set at around €10m.

Motta has been looking for a flexible winger and Bologna have been trying to sign the former Anderlecht man before Real Betis managed to accelerate. Having received the green light from Saelemaekers, they made that decisive first step.

Saelemaekers therefore is heading for the exit door three and a half years after he joined on an initial loan deal from Anderlecht. He has amassed 10 goals and 14 assists in 140 games across all competitions for the Rossoneri.
