GdS: San Siro sold out for Juventus visit as Milan seek to continue great home form

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Juventus will be playing in front of a sold-out crowd at San Siro when Serie A returns this weekend and it is a chance for the Rossoneri to continue their positive form at home.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below), Milan fans have purchased all of the tickets for the game a week in advance, as was expected.

Milan have won all of their home games in Serie A so far this season and have drawn against Newcastle in the Champions League. Of course, the heavy derby defeat was in the same stadium but Milan were the away team.

Milan earned close to €5m from this fixture last and it is expected that a similar figure will be earned this season, close to the 4.96m earned when Newcastle visited.

It seems that in terms of international visitors and sold-out games in general, Milan are enjoying a boom of interest after the pandemic.

  1. It sold out in under 6 hours. I know cause I tried to get a ticket…

It sucks cause I planned the trip 5 months ago to Milan. It’s such a gamble getting tickets.

I will go to Bologna instead and watch their game against Frosinone 😅 And then go back to Milan and watch the Juve game in a sports bar 🙂
