GdS: Primavera duo commit future to Milan with renewal – Camarda is next

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan announced two renewals yesterday as Primavera duo Davide Bartesaghi and Filippo Scotti put pen to paper on extensions until 2026.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport report, the left-back and the winger signed their first professional contract at Milan, the classic three-year contract that can be signed at the age of 16 (only when players reach 18 can they sign five-year deals).

They will be tied to the club until 2026, and Bartesaghi has begun making a name for himself already as the deputy to Theo Hernandez. Stefano Pioli took him on the USA tour in the summer and the 17-year-old convinced.

He’s not a bomb-forward full-back like Theo but he always knows what to do with the ball, and he has made two appearances in Serie A off the bench already.

Scotti hasn’t played with the senior side yet but he is highly regarded. The right winger is very quick and knows how to score goals. He is making progress with Ignazio Abate’s Primavera and in the U17 national team.

The next step for Milan is Francesco Camarda’s contract, which can be signed in March, when he turns 16. It is ‘not a trivial step’ because everyone knows the potential he has.
