GdS: Short renewal evaluated as Milan raise contract offer for midfield star Kessie

Milan are not just looking to reinforce the squad with new signings, but also to keep hold of the key players they already have. Following the departure of Hakan Calhanoglu and Gigio Donnarumma, it’s even more relevant.

One of the players that will expire next summer is Franck Kessie, also known as Il President, and Milan are currently working on a renewal. According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, as cited by MilanNews, they are ready to increase the offer again.

In recent days, an offer of €5.5m was put on the table by the Rossoneri but it didn’t impress the agent of Kessie. The latter wants an ‘Ibrahimovic salary’, at €7m per year, but there could be a solution to keep that number down a bit.

Per the newspaper, a short renewal until 2024 has been evaluated and could be enough to convince Kessie and his agent to renew. The salary would be around €6m and would at least give Milan some more time future-wise.

  1. Exactly. Sign kamara Asap if Elliot is not even ready to up the salaries of the key players. We can sign him and sell him in January for big money
