GdS: Spurs deploy secret weapon in bid to beat Aston Villa to €30m Milan star

By Oliver Fisher -

Spurs have enlisted help from intermediary Frank Trimboli as they look to strike a deal with AC Milan for Krzysztof Piatek, a report claims.

The Poland lost his starting spot for Saturday’s game against Cagliari, with front two Rafael Leao and Zlatan Ibrahimovic both getting on the scoresheet, and now seemingly faces an uncertain future at Milan.

MilanNews.it‘s Anto Vitiello reported last week that Tottenham have concrete interest in Piatek, but that competition was present from Premier League rivals Aston Villa and West Ham – as well as Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.

MilanNews.it then added that the Rossoneri have made their position on the 24-year-old clear: they will only allow him to leave on a permanent basis with a price tag of €28-30million set.

Now, La Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira is reporting that Spurs have called on the help of intermediary Frank Trimboli to help them open talks and strike a deal with Milan for the forward.

However, he also confirms that Aston Villa are indeed interested in rivalling the north London club for his signature this month.
