AC Milan are battling Arsenal and Leicester for the signing of Celtic centre-back Kristoffer Ajer, according to one journalist.
In recent weeks, various outlets have linked Norweigan defender Kristoffer Ajer with the Rossoneri. The 21-year-old’s contract with Celtic will expire in 2022 and Milan have been keeping tabs on him for quite some time.
According to a previous report from Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it), the Scottish side value the youngster at over €30million, and there is plenty of competition from a number of other European sides.
According to Nicolo Schira of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri are one of three teams that are in the running to land Ajer.
However, they face competition from Premier League duo Arsenal and Leicester, and the journalist adds that talks are ‘ongoing’ over a deal.
Ajer recently opened up about his future amid the heavy speculation by the media but made it clear that he isn’t focused on the transfer market, but rather his performances on the pitch with Celtic.
