GdS: World Cup winning playmaker emerges as €15-20m target for Milan

A new name has emerged in AC Milan’s mission to strengthen the attacking department in Atlanta United star Thiago Almada, a report claims.

According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), Milan are working to strengthen their attacking options in view of next season, particularly in the No.10 and right winger roles.

Almada is the latest name to enter the list of targets, a 22-year-old who can play either as an attacking midfielder or on the wing. He is currently at Atlanta United in the MLS, and was part of the World Cup winning Argentina squad.

Although the arrival of Daichi Kamada on a free transfer seems to be close, with a four-year contract worth €3m net per season ready to be signed, the departure of Brahim Diaz and the uncertainty surrounding Charles De Ketelaere means Almada could arrive regardless.

Almada has played 16 games in the current season, scoring 7 goals and adding 8 assists. His valuation is between €15-20m while his contract with Atlanta will expire in 2025.
