GdS: Ticket prices spark controversy amid difference between Milan and Inter

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan and Inter are both in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and tickets for these two games were recently released. There is one key difference between the two clubs, though, and that is the ticket prices.

Milan will face league leaders Napoli and Inter will take on Benfica. The two winners will then face each other in the semi-final, thanks to the lucky Champions League draw. The three Italian teams are all dreaming about the final, therefore.

As highlighted by Gazzetta Dello Sport, controversy has emerged as Milan’s ticket prices are noticeably higher than Inter’s. It’s the same round, the same competition and the same stadium, yet the Rossoneri’s season ticket holders have to shell out more.

To give an example, the central red section costs €389 a piece for Milan-Napoli while Inter are selling the same seats for €285 a piece. Inter’s cheapest seat, in the third ring of the Curva, costs €45 while Milan are charging €59 in their Curva.
