AC Milan continue to wait on the response of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. In the meantime, though, the Rossoneri are also working on strengthening the defence. They have identified a young Barcelona man for the job.
Duarte’s injury has forced Milan to intervene in defence as well, and given the difficulties related to the operation of Juve’s Merih Demiral, Boban and Maldini have switched focus to the 19-year-old Jean-Clair Todibo.
According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), the young Frenchman likes the Rossoneri a lot, having already given his ‘ok’ for the transfer. Therefore, negotiations are underway with Barcelona to reach an agreement.
The Catalan side are asking for €20m, as the report continues, and the loan hypothesis is highly unlikely. Boban and Maldini are working to find the best conditions, but the feeling is that there will have to be some sales before.
For the time being, however, nothing has happened on this front. Per the newspaper, the likes of Rodriguez, Kessie and maybe Suso could be sacrificed. It remains to be seen if Barcelona will agree to a discount on the price.
