GdS: Tonali not satisfied with his current role as he aims to put Pioli under pressure

By Oliver Fisher -

Midfielder Sandro Tonali is not completely satisfied with just being a rotation option for head coach Stefano Pioli, according to a report.

It would be fair to say that supporters are yet to see the best of the 20-year-old Italy international, who had his medical delayed after testing positive for Coronavirus and therefore had start to life at Milanello delayed somewhat.

Nonetheless, head coach Stefano Pioli is now starting to gradually ease him into things and get more minutes in his legs, with the player himself recently admitting that he feels he is getting up to speed.

Thursday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) describes Tonali as the ‘King of the Cup’ but adds how that title alone is not enough for the 20-year-old.

The paper writes how Tonali is working with great intensity to establish himself in the Rossoneri shirt, growing more and more and now aiming to put Pioli under pressure by pushing for a starting spot in his first choice XI.

    1. I agree with u, Milan is home of legend, even the legends themselves have to fight for the Xl when they was young. If there are players think that they are bigger than the club, just throwing tjem away, even tje star himself like donnarumma.

  1. There’s no room for him in the starting lineup. He looks decent when filling in during the low priority games but the Bennacer Kessie partnership can’t be broken when it matters
