GdS: Tonali set to feature in Milan’s Europa League preliminary vs Shamrock Rovers

By Nikita Fesyukov -

Sandro Tonali officially joined AC Milan yesterday after the club announced the arrival of the 20-year-old midfielder on their website. Thus, after undergoing all the necessary tests and signing the contract, the youngster is at Stefano Pioli’s disposal for the upcoming matches.

And Tonali did not hide his emotions after signing with his boyhood club, expressing his delight firstly during his first interview as a Milan player to Sky Sport and later on Instagram with an emotional post.

Today the player will take part in his first training session at Milanello to start getting to know coach Pioli and his new teammates, as well as the environment in general. He is also likely to feature in Milan’s friendly match against his former side Brescia on Saturday.

In this sense, there are even more good news. As reported by Gazzetta dello Sport (via milanlive.it), for bureaucratic reasons the player will not be included in the UEFA list by midnight.

However, Tonali will still be able to make his debut in the Europa League preliminary round in Dublin against Shamrock Rovers, as the regulation allows to changes close to the game.
