AC Milan have not yet formally completed the permanent signing of Sandro Tonali from Brescia which has reportedly alerted Juventus.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the deadline for the option to buy on the midfielder expires tomorrow, but the two clubs have not yet found an agreement. Even though the parties are not far away, the white smoke has not arrived and it could go beyond the deadline.
Milan asked for and obtained a discount, but the final agreement has not yet been reached because the last conversation between Maldini and Cellino dates back to last week, with silence since. inclusion of Giacomo Olzer in the deal brought the clubs closer, but Milan’s owners Elliott Management do not want to pay above €10m to sign Tonali permanently. Brescia are entitled to another €15m having already granted a discount on the bonuses.
The addition of a second counterpart like striker Lorenzo Colombo could unblock the situation, but Milan will have to negotiate and in the meantime Juventus are carefully observing the evolution of the situation.
