GdS: Top-four race will decide Chelsea loanee’s future as Milan need to pay €28m

By Isak Möller -

Milan are currently in fourth place but will take on Juventus tomorrow evening, which could give Napoli the chance to leapfrog the Rossoneri. Finishing in the top four is crucial, also for some of the planned signings.

Fikayo Tomori is one of the players that Milan will be looking to redeem in the summer, but it depends on the Champions League as Gazzetta Dello Sport report (via MilanNews). Without the qualification, the deal would be very complicated.

The buy-out clause is set at €28m and Chelsea won’t budge on their demand, seeing as the centre-back has impressed bar a few mistakes. The Rossoneri are aware of this and the potential Champions League proceeds would go directly to the signing.

The future of Tomori, therefore, will be in the hands of the Milan squad as four crucial games await them. With Napoli just behind, they will want to secure as many points as possible.
