AC Milan are in dire need of a new striker, and for months, one has seemed destined to move to the Rossoneri, but now, the path to him is unclear. Therefore, other options are being sought, and it seems a double deal could be done.
The path to Joshua Zirkzee seemed simple, and even when complexities arose, Milan were able to reach the other side with their chances unscathed. However, the same cannot be said at the current moment.
Furthermore, they have had no say in the proceedings, which makes a deal more difficult to target, and they must seek other options, rather than being left red-faced.
Currently, a different path being considered is that of two for the price of one. As Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News) writes, the Rossoneri are tempted by the prospect of signing Romelu Lukaku and Tammy Abraham, given signing both would cost a similar figure to signing Zirkzee.
It is known that the Diavolo are seeking to add two strikers this summer, and if they proceed with Zirkzee this could cost nearly €80 million, whereas the former Roma partners could be available for less.
Given they have already proved their ability to play in the same team, it would also offer Fonseca more tactical options, which is never a bad thing.

I would much rather see a striker like Gimenez from Feyenoord (23yrs old, 26 goals this season), Brobbey from Ajax (22yrs old, 21 goals this season) or someone similar. Not from top league, but young, with potential, good scoring results and not overpriced.
Zirkzee tbh doesn’t seem better than these guys and costs 2x more, and Abraham/Lukaku seem to be expensive leftovers from the table.
id rather see Schick on loan with option 2 buy. maybe try for haller, he was somewhat good once upon a time. maybe a new club would be the sprak he needs to give a few good seasons

If our big striker signing ends up being the disastrous Lukaku, I definitely will not be tuning in to watch any matches. I think Abraham is an ok backup, but the starter has to be excellent. Lukaku is a clown show.
