GdS: Value of Piatek much lower than reported amid Barca, Man Utd links

By Oliver Fisher -

Krzysztof Piatek’s valuation has reduced since he joined AC Milan following his dry spell in front of goal, a report claims.

Calciomercato.it recently claimed that Barcelona want Piatek to replace Luis Suarez, while Pianeta Milan suggested earlier on Thursday that Manchester United are also keen on a move.

Il Corriere dello Sport then stated that Giampaolo would not oppose the departure of the former Genoa striker in January, and that he is set to bench him for Saturday’s game against Genoa.

The aforementioned reports placed Piatek’s valuation as somewhere in the €40-50m range, but La Gazzetta dello Sport have it as much lower.

They claim (via Calciomercato.com) that the 24-year-old is actually only worth €25m currently, a whole €10m less than what Milan paid for him in January.

The Poland international has struggled this season so far after a quiet end to the 2018-19 campaign: he has just one from open play in his last 12 competitive games for Milan.
