AC Milan currently view Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze as the favoured target to be their new right winger this summer, a report claims.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), the Rossoneri hierarchy want to see Chukwueze on the right wing next season.
This is despite the club moving forward in their pursuit of Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic who would join the club to do the same role.
There have been reports suggesting that Milan want to sign both of the wingers, but this report claims that Chukwueze is the favourite right now.
He is expected to cost Milan somewhere between €25 million and €30 million which is a significant outlay. Given Chukwueze only has one year left on his contract, there should be a desire from Villarreal to sell the Nigerian winger.
Pulisic is expected to lower his salary in order to make the move to Milan happen.
Anyone know if Chukwueze has a Spanish passport?
Hes been in Spain for 6 years so i would say it’s possible but at the same time idk
And Nigeria does allow dual citizenship so hopefully we could negotiate a deal and get Chukwueze a Spanish passport
GOOD NEWS: according to a site, you must live in Spain for a minimum of 5 years and with Chukwueze joining Villarreal back in 18/19 he would be eligible for a Spanish citizenship this would mean him and Kamada are still a possibility together
Correction he joined in 17/18 so he is definitely eligible (sorry to spam got a bit excited)
5 years is only for permanent residence, 10 years are needed for citizenship.
No minimum 5 years of permanent residence is an Spanish citizenship, check iasservices.org.uk
Wait ffs another source says 10 years bro how do they get the numbers so wrong
And Germany is 8 years.
Off the 9 comments here so far, you made 7 LOL!!!
keeping it interesting lol
He’s non EU sooooo i guess we have to sell first in order for this dream to happen
Selling doesn’t increase it to more than two. In fact, we already need to sell to accomodate RLC (because the number of non-EU in our squad is more then 2, to be precise, it is 5), and we will need to sell another to accomodate Kamada. After two of them, selling won’t accomodate another.
Its looking complicated to say the least
0-1 non-EU in squad at the end of 2022/2023 season:
Can buy 2 non-EU from abroad, no requirement.
2 non-EU in squad at the end of 2022/2023 season:
Can buy 2 non-EU from abroad, the first one has no requirement but the second one require a non-EU to be sold abroad, gain EU citizenship, or has his contract expire.
3 or more non-EU in squad at the end of 2022/2023 season:
Can buy 2 non-EU from abroad, each time require a non-EU to be sold abroad, gain EU citizenship, or has his contract expire.
Can buy non-EU from Italian league without any restriction.
Nb:
The non-EU that is sold abroad, gain EU citizenship, or has his contract expire must be contracted to the club at the end of 2022/2023 season.
If Kamada bd RLC are signed then the 2 free non eu will be filled yes. But if we sell let’s say Messias and Vasquez we will have 2 more non eu free that’s what I meant by selling
No, that is not how it works. I put a simpiflied explanation above.
So it’s down to Kamada / this Chuk guy in the end. I’d prefer to take Kamada, because well he’s free. So less risk. We desperately need a good passer and he also can occupy several roles.
Tonali should have stayed! Milan is buying shit for his money
To guess the developments. The Spaniards are asking for at least 35 million and Milan is offering 15 ! Maybe Inter will come into the game again because they don’t seem to have a scouting service at all and they’re just waiting for someone to find someone interesting ! 😂
