AC Milan are in advanced negotiations with Juventus over Fikayo Tomori and according to a report, they could use the money to sign a striker, a centre-back, a right-back and potentially a midfielder.
According to today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), Milan are ready to sell Tomori to Juventus and then use the funds on the mercato. Not only Kyle Walker, but also a striker who guarantees goals and a centre-back.
Furthermore, a midfielder could also be brought in as Ismael Bennacer has failed to impress since returning, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been struggling with injuries. Indeed, the defeat against Juventus last night at the very least made it clear that reinforcements are necessary.
Green light to Juventus
In the next few hours, between today and tomorrow, there could be decisive developments for Tomori to Juventus. The latter want him on loan with an obligation to buy at €25m plus bonuses, while the Rossoneri would like it to be €30m thanks to ‘easy’ bonuses.
An important word on the matter will also be given by Tomori himself, who is happy in Milan and must give the green light to the transfer. This could be an obstacle, even if he could reunite with his ‘Scudetto partner’ Pierre Kalulu in the heart of Juve’s defence.
Walker in 48 hours
The defender is currently in talks with Man City to get the green light to fly to Italy. He would like to be in Milan by tomorrow evening, perhaps to undergo the medical tests on Tuesday, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic has given his approval to the signing.
The operation should be a paid loan of €1m with an option to buy at €5m, with Walker also willing to lower his salary for the coming six months to make the deal happen. Milan want him both for the right-back and centre-back role, it should be noted.
Another centre-back
Milan would like to focus on Matteo Gabbia and Malick Thiaw as the starters, with Strahinja Pavlovic and Walker as alternatives. However, one more centre-back would ‘complete’ the squad in the eyes of the management and Antonio Silva is one of the targets.
However, Benfica aren’t willing to sell him and have already rejected an offer from Juventus. Geoffrey Moncada is thus scanning the market for a fast centre-back who can adapt to Sergio Conceicao’s football. The priority is the attack, though, where all money from Tomori will be invested.
Joao Felix
It’s no secret that Conceicao likes Joao Felix. He was the one who suggested his name to the management. It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will accept Milan’s formula (loan with option to buy) because the Portuguese, who cost €52m last summer, cannot be purchased outright. T
Felix remains a hot lead that Milan will continue to work on. In the meantime, the former Udinese man Beto has been offered to the Rossoneri, but they are not convinced. In short, the coming days could be lively on the mercato.

Classic Milan: “upgrading” the squad by selling one player and buying three for that money.
One Buongiorno costs as Emerson Royal and Pavlovic together. And now we would be more happy to not have Emerson and Pavlovic, because without them Milan results would be better than now.
Selling Tomori might be the first good move this management will do, not that it undo all the mess they made.
He has had six good months in the Milan shirt in the second half of the Scudetto season, and even then Kalulu was the better defender. Never should’ve sold Kalulu in the first place.
Never mind his defending on the second goal against Juve, before their first goal freaking Nico Gonzalez jumped and headed the ball over his head and passed it to Weah !! It should’ve been a Juve goal but Maignan made a double save.
They should stop signing all these average English and American players. The only player talented enough and worthy of the shirt is Pulisic and that’s it.
Yess agree. As CB, tomori can’t marking anymore. He already pass his peak performance. We can’t expect anymore to tomori and musah. They average players. That’s why Chelsea sold him. And don’t forget, RLC.. hehe
In building the squad out, I think it is a bit harsh to write off Musah. He is one of the youngest players in the squad, always works on the pitch in is great bench depth for multiple positions and tactical alignments.
100%
100%.
It is one thing to sell a player who has been average for a while, but another to straight up giving him up to a direct competitor who is fighting against us for that 4th place and who is currently having a defensive problem.
The fact that Juventus were willing to pay whatever for Tomori means that they saw something in him that could help them and we just help them.
Furthemore by selling Tomori, having Thiaw injured and Pavlovic being still to “green” (to put it nicely), we’re now in a situation where we might need a center back this winter while it wasn’t our priority all along. Walker can of course play as a CB but it’s better to keep him as a RB.
Again, great management, sense of priority and understanding of the current situation by Moncada and Ibrahimovic.
Pavlovic OUT !!!!!! (TECHNICAL SKILLS TOO SLOW )
All this is complicated as more layers to these transfers are beneath the surface. I don’t want to see Tomori go, but the player’s wishes are may force the issue. He may want to stay at Italy but not Milan for all we know.
As for Pavlovic, he may turn out to be a solid option if he learns a system. Quite frankly, moving to Milan this past year to play under this mess was probably a nightmare.
I really hope these transfers have Conceição’s blessing and the management is trying to give him his wishes.
Yeah right.
We are going to do all that with the money from a Tomori sale. Which we don’t get for 6 months.
Here in Australia we have a saying for this.
“Tell him he’s dreaming!”
Selagi Si Amerika Menjadi Pemilik,Pemain yg di inginkan oleh Consecaio mustahil terwujud dibelikan.
I think Milan starting to play Tomori for Juventus to see his quality just to validate his market value after Fonseca forgot him on the bench
They bought Pavlovic and Emerson for money that could purchase Buongiorno.
Stupid Americans will learn on tough way what Serie A is…
While it may be true with Cardinale, it does relieve the ones responsible for building the team of responsibility of how (and who) the money was spent.
This may blow up in their faces. Thiaw is injury prone, and Gabbia just coming back from injury. Leave Tomori, Gabbia and Thiaw to compete for places, so as to bring out the best in them. Sell Pavlovic, since he is not getting first team football. Walker is not a centre-back, and having him as backup for that position in serie a is very risky. We have seen situations where our two centre-backs got injured in one game. So, what happens if we have this scenario? We use Walker and Pavlovic at the center, with Emerson Royal as right-back? That would be a recipe for disaster. At the end of the day, the coach will quit even before his time. Tomori is Conceicao’s first choice, so, why even bring this up? The management should think this through. We need money, but, that’s why we have new owners. They should provide the money for this, without necessarily selling our best players to do that. On Tomori’s part, he should understand that he’ll only be able to play as long as Bremer, and the other first team defenders are injured.
SMART MOVE FOR THE GRAB ON WALKER !!!! He can start tomorrow !!! PAV & ROYAL OUT !!!
And don t forget to give ABRAHAM BACK !!!!
I just don’t care for this season anymore…do whatever you wanna do…
And who gets sold (or taken off the list) for Felix, the mystery CB and the mystery midfielder?
There doesn’t seem to be any suggestion they would Italian/Academy trained list players.

Once again it’s quite clear the clowns have no idea what they’re doing. They are just looking at Excel tables and statistic sites. I’m willing to bet they haven’t even watched some of the players they’ve brought it.
What a complete, utter disgrace this club has become. Tells you a lot about Americans in European football, truly a recipe for disaster.
In which statistics did Emerson. Abraham and others come out in top of? That’s right, none. Moncada is a scout, not a data analyst. I’m sure this has already been explained. Atalanta, Roma, Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa have American owners. Roma aside, they’re doing well.
“In which statistics did Emerson. Abraham and others come out in top of?”
When you accidentally put the worst statistics on top of the table instead of the better ones you’ll see Emerson and Abraham’s name.
Wouldn’t be surprised if that actually what happened and Moncada thought he landed on the jackpot.
It’s all about the money money money. It’s ok if they sign top italianplayer
I’m really struggling to believe this. It doesn’t make sense. Instead of fixing problems, they are creating them. The defense was the least of our worries. We ended last season with Gabbia, Thiaw, Tomori, Kalulu, Simic, Calabria, Theo, Bartesaghi, and Terreciano. The management decided to let Kalulu and Simic go and are unhappy with their replacements. Now, they want to sell Tomori to make room for someone with one or two seasons left in him.
Meanwhile, when we needed two signings in midfield, they sold Tonali and De Ketelaare. Then Krunic, Adli, and Pobega followed. Five players sold in total, only four brought in, only one (maybe two) so far capable of playing at this level.
As far as strikers go, we signed four completely different profiles from Giroud with no idea how we were planning to play.
This can’t be real
‘ LEAST OF OUR WORRIES’ WAKE UP SHEVA !!
Walker would be a great signing. Been an integral part of Peps City up to now. Still got better speed then Hernandez and he can step in and play CB if needed just like Hernandez did. With him as RB we are fine with 3-4 CBs.
Hernandez-Gabbia-Thiaw-Walker would be a great back line with Jimenez, Bartesaghi, Pavlovic, Calabria and one more CB on the bench. Florenzi and Emerson need to be let go in the summer (or now if that was possible).
For the midfield I think its also clear that Bennacer and R-L-C need to go, they are too injury prone, and Milan need to sign Ricci, and Liberali should be promoted to the first team permanently.
For the attack Jovic and Okafor need to be sold and Origi bought out from his contract to free wages for a new striker: A real goal poacher to pair with Morata and then have Abraham and Camarda on the bench.
Main issue as I see it is to sell all those players to be able to bring in new. They either dont want to leave, or noone wants them…
Florenzi
Emerson
Bennacer
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Jovic
Origi
Okafor
Thats at leat 7 players that need to be sold asap…
See let’s be candid. Milan must look for new defenders. Theo and Tomori are spent forces especially Theo. Most of the goals Milan concede comes from his side. He doesn’t know how to tackle and looses concentration easily. Most of you don’t understand why Fonseca left him, Tomori and Leao on the bench. They feel too entitled. Leao can be sluggish and lazy in his approach. Fonseca was trying to correct a lot of problems but Milan was not patient. In my opinion, Zlatan must go. He keeps making wrong decisions. We need Maldini and Massaro back.
Incredibly short sided move if it comes to pass. Juventus is addressing areas of need by derailing a direct rival. Milan is destabilizing the one area that seems to be OK so far by focusing of capital gains.
What is the point of selling Tomori to Juve if you have to turn around and look for another CB? Good CB’s don’t come cheap and the 30mil you get on Tomori won’t be enough to plug multiple gaps.
It’s not like they are offering 70mil for him…

Maybe Gerry Cardinale should go to the library in Milan and get the book named Berlusconi The AC Milan President that conquered world football
IF they do end up selling Tomori, I’m sure the deal is that Juve pays them in 1M€ installments for 20 years or so and they’ll buy a 1M€, 20-year-old Argentinian from Honduras for the money.
