GdS: From Watford star to Tigre wildcard – Milan’s centre-forward wish list

AC Milan have decided to focus on the attack this summer and they have quite a few names on their wish list. The latest to be linked with the Rossoneri is the newly-made Azzurro Mateo Retegui.

Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are two very important players for Milan, leading  the youngsters with their experience. However, the reality is that they aren’t getting any younger and the Rossoneri need to plan for the future.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), one of the names on Milan’s list is Joao Pedro. The 21-year-old plays for Watford in the Championship and he has scored nine goals this season. His price tag is around €30m.

The latest link, as mentioned, is Mateo Retegui. The 23-year-old just got his first call-up to the Italian national team (he could also represent Argentina) and he has done well with Tigre, scoring six goals in six appearances. He would cost €15-18m.

Finally, the Rossoneri also have Arsenal-owned Folarin Balogun (€30m) and Salzburg star Noah Okafor (€30-40m) on their list. A lot will depend on UCL qualification and also the future of Rafael Leao.
