GdS: When Messias, Theo Hernandez and Maignan are hoping to return

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are struggling with another wave of injuries that is making it very hard for Stefano Pioli to juggle an already crowded schedule.

Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) confirms that Davide Calabria and Alexis Saelemaekers are likely to be out for the rest of the calendar year, while Simon Kjaer ‘s injury seems less serious than expected and he could recover for the next Serie A match against Juventus.

A few hours before the trip to Empoli, Stefano Pioli also had to not call up Junior Messias due to a muscle strain and it would be a ‘minor miracle’ to see the Brazilian at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea in the Champions League. Juventus will be more realistic.

Theo Hernandez is moving ahead with the recovery program after the strain of his right adductor and has put the match against Juventus in his sights, as yesterday he did individual training.

Mike Maignan – who has been out for 10 days due to an injury to the medial twin of his left calf he got with the national team – will still be out for around three weeks.

  1. All because FIFA is exploiting players just to get money… they don’t care about the players condition, all they care about is their money revenue from their ” Nation League” ,who have no importance!
All these games are too much for a player’s body to take… they have the World Cup coming soon , why do they need to play the “Nation League” competition!??
They are exhausting these players and creating more injuries and ruining the players chance of representing their country( something that every footballer dreams of)

  2. F*** the thugs at FIFA for making us play a game ever 3 days the World Cup should have been in the summer and not in Qatar!!!
