Milan will face Atalanta this evening and provided that Napoli and Juventus win their games, then the Rossoneri will need to win. Should they fail to do so, then they will finish outside the top four and miss out on Champions League.
It’s a scenario that Milan would like to avoid and Stefano Pioli has been working all week on the right tactical solutions for the game tonight. Unlike the game against Cagliari last weekend, they will most likely find some space this time out.
As reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Theo Hernandez and Hakan Calhanoglu will be the key players for Milan this evening. The former will have to do what Federico Chiesa did in the cup final, running in behind the defence.
Calhanoglu, meanwhile, will have to be one of the leaders and his passing will also be crucial to create chances for his teammates. It’s clear that a good performance is needed and that also means the key players have to be in form.
