GdS: Why Milan are willing to invest in Real Betis star as early as January

AC Milan have a strong interest in signing Juan Miranda from Real Betis and his contract situation is playing into their hands at the moment.

La Gazzetta dello Sport confirms that Miranda’s profile is one that attracts Milan a lot, as is the fact his deal expires in June 2024. Milan would like to get ahead of the competition by paying a small compensation in the January window.

Stefano Pioli currently has Davide Bartesaghi for the deputy left-back role but he is yet to make a start in Serie A, while Alessandro Florenzi can also be moved over to the left side.

Miranda would represent the ideal deputy to Theo though because he left-footed, good at pushing forward, dribbling and creating chances. He also has experience with the Barcelona youth team and on loan at Schalke 04 too.

He won an Olympic silver with Spain and a couple of youth titles as a protagonist, while he is a European U17 champion and is considered part of a new Spanish generation born from 2000 onwards.

In the youth team he played several matches with Ferran Torres of Barça, Bryan Gil of Tottenham, Eric Garcia of Girona, Fran Beltrán of Celta Vigo and the list goes on.

He also shared the locker room with Jordi Mboula of Verona. Maybe in January he will be able to challenge him as a Milan player.
