Following the big win against Real Madrid, AC Milan will be looking to clinch another three points this evening as they take on Cagliari away from home. As revealed yesterday, there is one interesting change to the starting XI.
As Alvaro Morata is out with a head injury, while Tammy Abraham still isn’t 100%, Camarda will play from the first minute. It will be his first start for the Rossoneri and Paulo Fonseca made it clear yesterday that he has a lot of faith in the youngster.
Aside from the No.9 role, which will be occupied by the No.73, the defence and midfield will remain untouched compared to the Real Madrid game. In attack, however, Samuel Chukwueze will be back from start as Fonseca has opted against having another midfield on the pitch.
With Cagliari likely to sit back, having a skilled player like Chukwueze could help make life difficult for the defenders. Rafael Leao will also be looking to build on his impressive display against Real Madrid, but he will certainly not have as much space this time out.
Predicted Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Emerson Royal, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Reijnders, Fofana; Chukwueze, Pulisic, Leao; Camarda.
Predicted Cagliari XI (4-2-3-1): Scuffet; Zappa, Palomino, Luperto, Augello; Deiola, Makoumbou; Zortea, Gaetano, Luvumbo; Piccoli.
Tomori, leao, theo, sabotage guys back again,i am not optimist for this one
Why can’t Fonseca play the same formation he use against Madrid?, why can’t he switch to 3 man defense completely?
Because Cagliari will sit deep.
But please Mr Fonseca we need thiaw and Pavlovic instead of tomori but Fonseca is high time you Jimenez for him to feature at right back sometimes instead of Emerson
Acmilan must play attacking game 100% full to waste Cagliari
