GdS: Probable XIs for Milan vs. Atalanta – Pioli opts for consistency

AC Milan will face Atalanta tomorrow evening and after three consecutive wins, they will be looking to make it four. And Stefano Pioli has no intention of changing the recent recipe for success, a report claims.

The Rossoneri have three consecutive 1-0 wins in the bag and have thus upped their confidence, after seven games without a win. They now need to keep this going ahead of the important second leg against Tottenham on March 8.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo), Pioli isn’t expected to make any changes to the starting XI (bar Giroud-Origi) for the game against Atalanta. The only real question mark is whether Mike Maignan or Ciprian Tatarusanu will start, with tests for the former taking place today.

Junior Messias, who scored the winning goal against Monza, should get the chance to start again. Alexis Saelemaekers will have to rely on a strong performance off the bench to change the pecking order, in other words.

Probable Milan XI (3-4-3): Tatarusanu; Kalulu, Thiaw, Tomori; Messias, Tonali, Krunic, Hernandez; Diaz, Giroud, Leao.

Probable Atalanta XI (3-4-3): Musso; Toloi, Palomino, Scalvini; Zappacosta, De Roon, Koopmeiners, Maehle; Lookman, Hojlund, Boga.
