Massimiliano Allegri is expected to make just one change to the starting eleven for Milan-Cagliari, more or less relying on the players that got the job done last week.
After a few very tough weeks, Milan bounced back with a crucial win against Genoa last weekend, setting themselves up nicely for the final round. They ‘only’ need to beat Cagliari tonight to secure Champions League qualification, meaning everything is in their hands.

As a further boost, although he was on the bench already against Genoa, Luka Modric has continued to train with the mask and there have been no issues. He will thus be at the manager’s disposal, even if a start isn’t expected this time either.
Only one change
According to Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), Allegri will only make one change to the starting XI compared to the Genoa win. Indeed, he will replace the match-winner Zachary Athekame with Alexis Saelemaekers, who is back from suspension.
Rafael Leao is also back from suspension but by the looks of it, Christopher Nkunku and Santiago Gimenez will keep their spots. It certainly makes sense with the Frenchman, who was decisive last time out by breaking the deadlock with a penalty won and scored.
Predicted Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Jashari, Rabiot, Bartesaghi; Gimenez, Nkunku.
Predicted Cagliari XI (4-3-2-1): Caprile; Ze Pedro, Mina, Dossena, Obert; Adopo, Gaetano, Deiola; Palestra, Esposito; Borrelli.
