Pervis Estupinan is currently in pole position for a starting spot in AC Milan’s big game against Inter tomorrow, according to a report.
Milan are under pressure to clinch all three points on Sunday, currently two points behind their city rivals in the standings. A defeat would be disastrous as Inter would practically be able to celebrate the Scudetto then, even if there are ten games to go after tomorrow’s clash.
Getting the tactics right will thus be very important for Massimiliano Allegri, not to mention the player selection. It seems that Christian Pulisic will get the chance to break his drought, while the back three has pretty much decided itself due to a key injury.
One surprise amid certainties
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, since Matteo Gabbia has been ruled out for this one, the defence will be made up of Fikayo Tomori, Koni De Winter and Strahinja Pavlovic. It’s not horrible considering that the Belgian especially has been in very good form lately, perhaps even better than Gabbia.
In midfield, there is one pick that stands out: Estupinan ahead of Davide Bartesaghi. The latter has just recovered from a minor injury and will be available, but the Ecuadorian is currently for the starting spot on the left flank.
At least, that means Bartesaghi will be a good option off the bench especially if any of the centre-backs were to get injured. Up front, meanwhile, Rafael Leao will partner up with the aforementioned Pulisic to hopefully cause a lot of issues for Inter.
Predicted Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori, De Winter, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Modric, Rabiot, Estupinan; Pulisic, Leao.
Predicted Inter XI (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, Akanji, Bastoni; Luis Henrique, Barella, Calhanoglu, Zielinski, Dimarco; Thuram, Esposito.

Estupinan has started 9 games I believe; 7 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. So a pretty good record when he starts.
