GdS: Probable XIs for Milan vs. Lecce – Chukwueze and Pulisic to start

Gameday has arrived for AC Milan, taking on Lecce at San Siro this afternoon. With six wins in the bag, the Rossoneri will be looking to extend their winning run. According to a report, they will try to do so with a very attacking-minded starting XI.

Milan have indeed been in tremendous form lately and with the season entering its final stages, the goal is to continue down this path. Today’s game is a very important one in view of the derby, with the Rossoneri hoping to avoid Scudetto celebrations in that clash.

As reported by Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), Stefano Pioli has decided to make a few changes to the starting XI. With Malick Thiaw suffering from inflammation, Ismael Bennacer not at 100% and Ruben Loftus-Cheek suspended, this was indeed expected.

However, few expected Pioli to go all-out attack with his choices, fielding Christian Pulisic in the No.10 role and Yacine Adli together with Tijjani Reijnders. Samuel Chukwueze has been in great form lately and will keep his spot on the right, hoping to combine well with Pulisic this evening.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Gabbia, Tomori, Hernandez; Adli, Reijnders; Chukwueze, Pulisic, Leao; Giroud.

Probable Lecce XI (4-3-3): Falcone; Gendrey, Baschirotto, Pongracic, Gallo; Blin, Ramadani, Gonzalez; Banda, Krstovic, Dorgu.
